Montessori Community School operates independently of the public
school systems regarding inclement weather days. If conditions become
treacherous when school is not in session, you
may
- Call the school (493-8541) and listen to the recorded message
in mailbox #111
- Watch WTVD (Channel 11) or WRAL
(Channel 5) or access their web sites
- Check here. Please bookmark this
page.
If a storm occurs during the school day, we will
close the school at our discretion. You may call the school to determine
if you need to pick-up your child. However, if we lose power, we
will not have telephone service. Please listen to the above listed
radio station to see if we have closed. The website may be accessible
since it can be operated from off campus, but check the date above
to be certain you are looking at a recent announcement. If you feel
the weather is threatening and would like to pick up your child
at any time, please feel free to. If a storm occurs during the school
day and we close, rest assured that adults will remain at school
with the children until all have been picked up.
